360 Secondz Magazine

360 Secondz magazine, a print and web publication, is an informative and interactive magazine that focuses on hip hop arts and culture in the DMV. With a concept evolving around a cipher of 360 degrees, 360 Secondz balances the various forms of hip hop while publicizing the DMV’s hip hop cipher and promoting those within it. Influenced by Doug E. Fresh’s “The Show”, 360 Secondz features artists, entertainers, producers, activists, photographers and many more.
Unlike other contemporary hip hop magazines, 360 Secondz appeals to the new generation and draws interest from older hip hop generations. With a demographic widely accepted by many, 360 Secondz Magazine is where innovative youth meet the established groundbreakers that came before them.
“For the youth by the youth.” Youth from the DMV area have the opportunity to conduct interviews, write articles, plan and participate in photo shoots and assist with the layout plans, all under the guidance of communication professionals. The youth are taught the aspects of magazine production in four areas; reporting, photography, broadcast and graphic design.
