Always good to see how universal Hip-Hop really is, check out this cat from Zimbabwe. Words from Tehn Diamond:
My name’s TehN, I’m an aspiring Hip-Hop artist from Zimbabwe. I recently wrote and recorded my first mixtape, entitled “The Student of the Game: HIGHER LEARNING”. Over the past few months I’ve noticed the kind of dedicated support you’ve given to other up and coming musicians, and thought it’d be worth a shot to actively try and get my music to the right ears…hopefully with your help I can get a step further.
The tape was mixed by DJ Kronic, a real talented Shadyville DJ from Australia which is where I recorded most of my music while studying there. Most of it was done towards the end of ‘08, just after I dropped outta college to pursue this….so while the theme is tied together by skits from John Singelton’s classic “Higher Learning”….its really the culmination of the years I struggled through my Finance degree and the 1st year I spent doing music full-time instead.
