J. Cole (@JColeNC) has just put the finishing touches on his sophomore album, Born Sinner. I was told a few weeks back the second LP would be turned in today (May 20th) and it appears that Cole has kept his word.
However, there has been several conflicting reports about the release date of the highly anticipated Born Sinner, with The Hollywood Reporter claiming it could be moved up a week early to June 18th. While it’d be great to receive this this earlier than expected, we got wind it might get pushed back by two weeks, according to information listed on retail websites.
Now we get word from Jermaine himself, well sort of. J. Cole took the Dreamville team to Miami to celebrate the completion of the project at Cameo nightclub. At the 2:25 mark of this clip, J. Cole addresses the crowd and says he’s finished with the CD and it’ll be dropping in four weeks.
That’s good news, but that still leaves room for it to be open June 18th or June 25th. At least it’s not July 9th. Whew. Watch below.
Congrats to Cole, Ibrahim, Elite and all of Dreamville.
